That's incorrect. He didn't say that in 2004. You know how I know that? Because he died in 1992.

Lawrence Lagerlof

2004 is the post's date.

It is change, continuing change, inevitable change, that is the dominant factor in society today. No sensible decision can be made any longer without taking into account not only the world as it is, but the world as it will be.

adolfern

Part of the quote is not from Asimov. "The only constant is change" is a know translation variation for a quote by Heraclitus a 500BC, greek philosopher.

@Nike Air -- and this is what happens when a corporation outsources their functions, in this case marketing, to China. :)

another smart man once said, you get what you pay for. Go Nike!!

Actually first summed up by heraclitus in 470BC

Quotes About Change

We have to embrace change because it will happen anyway.

R Carpena

The great greek philosophers were always debating on what in the Universe was permanent and what is constant to what is in constant change; Socrates, Aristotles, Heraclitus

Change will always be a relevance in modern society because of our surroundings.

Loft Insulation

Energy efficient house plans have grown to be more popular with the focus set on climate changes as well as environmental liability. In addition to that, while making a house, people also look at the most efficient ways to lower energy consume to get lower bills. Floors are given special care with all energy efficient home plans. You'll further insulate walls, make use of energy-efficient doors and windows and various other things that minimize energy consume.

You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be really something which I think I would never understand. It seems too complicated and extremely broad for me. I am looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!

Hey. Cool write-up. There's a problem along with your web site in chrome, and you may want to check this... The browser could be the market leader and a huge component of other folks will omit your fantastic writing because of this problem.

Humans have long since possessed the tools for crfntiag a better world. Where love, compassion, altruism and justice have failed, genetic manipulation will not succeed. I agree with this one because it puts how I feel about gentetically engineering into one sentence. I dont agree to much with it and think it is sort of unnecessary. We as a country is very good at wasting money. We spend money on the wrong this and putting all our time, effort and money on genetic engineering isnt helping. Im sure scientist love science and putthereall i everything they do. They accomplished a lot and have failed many times to get where they were today. Just like they fail at other things genetically engineering things will do the same. It is not going to end world hunger, it is not going to help us out much really but it will hurt tremendously. If the cure for such common diseases take so long and so much money itself, then why continue funding for stuff that is not in demand right now. I understand weare behind as a country on some thing, whycant we get up to par first then worry about enhancing our abilities to create, invent or discover more. What could beat love or compassion for something, it sure isnt GE. Gentic Enginering is a new thing, it has ben aroung sincethe1970 s and seem to be something that is continuosly growing but we nee to find something else new to help us what we need help with at this very moment.

Humans have long since possessed the tools for crtfniag a better world. Where love, compassion, altruism and justice have failed, genetic manipulation will not succeed.GINA MARANTO, Quest for PerfectionI agree with this perspective about genetic engineering because he basicially explained that other things in the world that is IMPORTANT have yet not succeed for many different reasons, so Genetic manipulation will not succeed. He's actually right with this perspective because love, compassion, altruism and justice have failed throughout the world so genetic manipulation can possibly fail because people don't want weird things happening too different animals to make more or research what could happen if they try something on the animals doing genetic engineering. The first perspective by Issac Asimov where he explained how genetic engineering will be able too create their own evolutionary process when that is not true because the genetic engineering hasn't worked yet in order to creat their own! So I chose the second perspective over the first one because it seems more realistic and have details behind it to back his perspective up!

My studies were motlsy responding to your first responder who implied that all gay parents are just looking to molest children. The rates of trauma are higher for homosexual populations, but most studies I have seen still put it at around 25% (as opposed to 10% or so with hetrosexual populations) not the 100% you are implying. Beyond that, it does beg the question, which came first the homosexuality or the abuse? Males that are perceived to be homosexual are easier targets, and we have all known very flamboant kids who have never been molested (not saying they are gay yet, but they show all the signs).

Freund et al. (1989). Heterosexuality, homosexuality, and ertioc age preference. Journal of Sex Research, 26, 107-117. Hard to do APA on here but I think you get the picture. Was a really disturbingly done study that was designed to ascertain how gay men responded to pictures of various ages of males, and straight men responded to pictures of various ages of females. Found that the straight men responded just as much to the pictures of young females as the straight men did to the pictures of young males.

I've been on a jet airplane, asahst. Your studies are all looking at the wrong problem. They are looking at abusers first and then asking sexuality or preference from a limited subset. Look for a study strictly pertaining to homosexual men and how many of them were abused as children. That is where you will find the correlation between gays becoming gay, not being born that way, despite how many songs Lady Gaga tries to sing about it.

1. The seven areas that green peace believes to be atfcefed by genetic engineering of plant and animals are genetic manipulation, cultivation, propaganda, environment, monocultures, food and health.2.One of the main concerns that green peace believes can be negatively atfcefed is the environment. Genetic engineering machines also produces pesticides. The pesticides are increasing in farms because of the bugs and other plants resistantance to the poison. Which also causes the poison to affect our foods.3.I agree with green peace concerns and viewpoints. They have shown how harmful genetic engineering by scientific research.4. Disease could be prevented by detecting people/plants/animals that are genetically prone to certain hereditary diseases, and preparing for the inevitable. Also, infectious diseases can be treated by implanting genes that code for antiviral proteins specific to each antigen. Animals and plants can be tailor made' to show desirable characteristics. Genes could also be manipulated in trees for example, to absorb more CO 2 and reduce the threat of global warming. Genetic Engineering could increase genetic diversity, and produce more variant alleles which could also be crossed over and implanted into other species. It is possible to alter the genetics of wheat plants to grow insulin for example.

The answer is both, pbblaroy?Ten years ago I believed there had to be a genetic disposition in order to develop type 2 diabetes, now I believe that lifestyle and/or genetics can bring the disease on. There are numerous studies that show people who have no history of diabetes in their families are developing the disease but to be fair it isn't always possible to know if their is a family history of diabetes since many are never diagnosed and/or are not telling anyone they have it.That site that Mz Lamb gave is outdated, it hasn't changed or been updated in 6 years that I know of.

I had GD as well. It was temporary. My dotocr referred me to a diabetic counselor so I could better understand the diagnosis and get a meal plan. I was required to test my blood sugar daily (4 times/day) and log my carb intake. I shared these results with my dotocr at each visit and we made adjustments as needed. It was frustrating at times, but once I found what foods worked for me I just ate the same things repeatedly.Unfortunately, I was never able to fully control my fasting sugars (first thing in the morning) and I needed to take glyburide once per day at the minimum dosage to get my fasting sugar where my dotocr was comfortable. Post baby, the baby was checked three times in the hospital to ensure she was not diabetic. I immediately went back to a "regular" diet and was checked several times to ensure my sugars were acceptable. My dotocr checked me one last time at my two week post partum follow up and I was given the all clear. Honestly, the diagnosis was a blessing for me. My overall weight gain was 16 pounds through my pregnancy (I was overweight to begin with). And without any real effort post partum, I've lost almost 40 pounds. Being forced to get my diet under control was a huge benefit for me. The diet was not what I expected. I was on three meals and three snacks a day. My dotocr wanted me to have a carb and protein at each of these times. I was surprised at how many carbs I was instructed to eat. I had assumed being diagnosed with diabetes would mean to cut all carbs. I was very mis-educated about diabetes until I was forced to deal with it.
